Description
Hendershott has learned that Rev. John T. Mitchell, late of the Book Concern (Assistant Book Agent, Cincinnati, 1844-1848), will be appointed to serve a church in the Ohio Conference. Hendershott would like Finley to use his influence to get Mitchell appointed to the Springfield Station. The Catholics and Presbyterians are growing by leaps and bounds in Springfield and Mitchell's help is needed to counteract their influence. [Note: Mitchell was actually appointed to the Cincinnati Ninth Street MEC]. Abstract Number - 581
