Description
McLean writes about the recent election of John Quincy Adams as president and John C. Calhoun as vice president. "With Adams & Calhoun at the head all is well." He also believes that his brother John McClean might end up serving on the cabinet, but this must be a secret for now. There has been a fire in the penitentiary blacksmith shop, but the cart wheels ordered by Finley should be done in a month. The wheels will cost $12 apiece. Abstract Number - 39
