Description
Rev. Newson writes to inquire about Finley's new position as chaplain of the Ohio State Penitentiary. [Finley was released from his position as Presiding Elder of the Zanesville District on March 23, 1846]. Newson is very anxious to see how things are going with the new job. He has just learned that Brother Young will be replacing Finley as P.E. and is very glad to hear it. He and his colleagues will "feel safer in the Old King's (David Young) hands" than with a younger man. Abstract Number - 261
