Description
Walker believes that his protests to the Secretary of War against the methods of the Indian Commissioners has had its effect, thanks in large part to Governor Nance. The Secretary will most likely recall the Commissioners. Walker tells of some drinking sprees which have resulted in stabbings and deaths, including an injury to Finley's Wyandot namesake, James. Walker hopes the new missionary, Mr. Allen [Samuel M. Allen], will be better than his predeccessor. Abstract Number - 777
