In a conversation with Rev. Young, Emery learned that the Indians were greatly in need of potatoes to plant. Emery, in conjunction with his congregation, gathered forty or fifty bushels. He asks Finley if he wants the potatoes. He also asks Finley for a short sketch of the work and success at the Mission. Emery indicates that he will have it published in a Columbus paper.
