Laws' letter is in explanation of a petition he has written and sent to the General Conference to release him from all or part of the remainder of a debt incurred in 1836, which he has been paying off and finds impossible to pay anymore. Laws asks Finley to use his influence to get the petition granted. Abstract Number - 375
