This letter is a long statement of the condition of Stewart's district, which includes many circuits. Much of Stewart's report has to do with the question of the south and slavery. He suggests having a West Virginia Conference, especially since it would have a bearing on the question of how the circuits should stand on the Southern problem. He sets forth quite a few reasons why it would be desirable. Abstract Number - 813
